Waycon has a long history in the design and manufacturing of purpose-built heavy-duty forestry cabs and excavator conversions.

Whether you are involved in logging, loading, processing, or road construction operations, we manufacture cabs and excavator guarding that are reliable, durable, and well-suited for heavy-duty applications.

Standard Cab

Custom Forestry Cab OEM Solutions heavy equipment manufacturer

The purpose-built forestry cabs are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions while ensuring operator safety and comfort.

  • Custom built cab – engineered and manufactured to OEM specification, including HVAC system and all controls.
  • These cabs are equipped with advanced features like reinforced structures, heavy-duty glass, and sound insulation to provide protection against impacts, noise, and vibration.
  • Training and easy install, bolts directly to the factory cab platform.
  • Tested & certified to Oregon OSHA & Canadian BC WCB specification.
Specifications
  • Top escape hatch with ½” thick Lexan window
  • Rear escape hatch with ½” thick Lexan window
  • Cab door, front window and two side windows are ½” Lexan backed by steel reinforcing plates
  • Third side window slides open, and is behind an OSHA certified mesh guard
  • Cab door swing direction is compatible with platform
  • Interior of cab lined with 1” thick acoustic foam 
  • Comes with 8 LED lights. 4 lights above the front window, 2 lights above the cab directed sideways, 2 lights above the rear escape hatch directed back.
  • Bolts directly to factory cab platform, drilling required
  • Uses factory HVAC system and all factory controls 
  • ISO 8084 certified Operator Protective Structure
  • ISO 8083 certified Falling Object  Protective Structure
  • SAE 1356 certified Front and Top Guards
  • Designed to accept all OEM hardware

Built to handle tough material handling environments whether it’s felling trees, loading logs, or clearing land, Waycon’s cabs and excavator conversions are designed to maximize efficiency, productivity and ensure operators’ safety.

  • Purpose Built Side Entry Cab with Excavator Guarding – engineered and manufactured to OEM specification, including HVAC system and all controls.
  • Certified to WorksafeBC standards G602 (cab guarding), G603 (window guards), G608 (roof guarding) and 16.17 (escape hatches).
  • Complies with FOPS certifications
  • Complies with ROPS certifications (dependant on machine weight)

The Waycon Rear Entry Excavator package is a reliable solution for various forestry applications such as logging, loading and processing. 

  • The elevated rear-entry cab allows for easy entry and exit and enhanced visibility.  
  • Purpose Built Rear Entry Cab with Excavator Guarding – engineered and manufactured to OEM specification, including HVAC system and all controls.
  • Certified to WorksafeBC standards G602 (cab guarding), G603 (window guards), G608 (roof guarding) and 16.17 (escape hatches).
  • Complies with FOPS certifications
  • Complies with ROPS certifications (dependant on machine weight)
